Welcome to our fifth week of class! It is hard to believe that our class is already more than halfway complete. As you have learned in previous lessons, theory development is an essential component of scholarship for the advancement of nursing knowledge. Many theories used by nurses are unique to nursing. This week, we will explore the usefulness of theories borrowed from other disciplines.

I am excited to open our first discussion for week five on Application of Borrowed Theories to Advanced Nursing Practice.
