Public relations and defamation law

This week we read about public relations and defamation law (The Practice of Public Relations, Seitelm, Ch. 7). In the reading it talked about how laws govern person privacy and the implications for journalist and other communicators. Let’s take a look at some of the things that have been in the news over the years. In the last couple of years there was super bowl fiasco. This past week was the Grammy’s and the media has been calling Beyonce’ names for her performance. Do you think that the media has or have defamation their name in the media, and do you think that these performers can sue the media and win?
